He worked for North Mississippi Health Services for 22 years, initially as an Emergency room nurse and most recently served as Safety Director for North Mississippi Health Services. She moved to Georgia, where her mother was a teacher and her father a principal, until they returned to her mothers hometown of Belmont, MS, when she was a freshman in high school.
